    • Tour Departure: Your tour departs 1 hour after your cruise ship arrives in Costa Maya, with the earliest departure at 9:00 AM Ship Time.
    • Meeting Point: Meet your guide at Plaza Las Fuentes, conveniently located just outside the Costa Maya cruise port. Detailed meeting instructions will be provided with your reservation.
    • Rain or Shine: This tour operates rain or shine. Please check the forecast and dress appropriately for the day’s weather.
    • The tour includes opportunities to swim in Bacalar Lagoon. Life jackets are mandatory during the boat experience. Swimming ability is not required to enjoy the lagoon.
    • Bring a swimsuit, towel, change of clothes, comfortable clothing, hat, and sun protection. Biodegradable sunscreen is recommended to help protect Bacalar’s ecosystem.
    • Bring extra cash for gratuities and personal expenses. Credit cards may not be accepted outside the port area.
    • This tour does not operate on Wednesdays. Availability may also be limited on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
    • Late Arrivals / No-Shows: Guests who arrive late or fail to show up for their scheduled activity are not eligible for a refund.
    • Vegetarian and gluten-free meals are available upon request. Please provide any dietary requirements in advance.

Lake Bacalar

Your adventure begins 1 hour after your cruise ship docks in Costa Maya. Meet your guide at Plaza Las Fuentes, conveniently located just outside the Costa Maya cruise port, and settle in for the approximately 1 hour 15 minute ride to Bacalar. Arrive in Bacalar and board your boat for approximately 2 hours exploring the Seven Colors Lagoon. Watch the water shift through shades of turquoise and blue as you cruise between Cenote Esmeralda, Cenote La Bruja and Cenote Cocalitos. Continue into Pirate’s Channel, once traveled by pirates moving through the region, then stop twice along the way to swim. Step into Bacalar’s clear water, cool off, and enjoy the lagoon from the same turquoise waters you’ve been cruising across.

After two hours on the lagoon, head to a Lake Shore Club overlooking Bacalar. Settle in by the water for tacos served with chips, salsa and homemade sauces, accompanied by iced tea, jamaica (hibiscus) and horchata. Guests 21+ also receive two alcoholic drinks, with a choice of beer or selected cocktails. After lunch, take some time to relax by the lagoon and enjoy the view before boarding your transportation for the approximately 1 hour 15 minute ride back to Costa Maya and your cruise ship.
