Learn to Surf at Galé Beach, Albufeira

Galé Beach in Albufeira offers the perfect conditions for learning to surf or improving your surfing skills. With clean, small waves breaking over soft sand, it's an ideal spot for beginners and anyone looking to progress in a safe and fun environment.

How It Works:

Meet us at our surf school, located in the Galé Beach car park, 15 minutes before your lesson starts. We'll get you fully equipped with a wetsuit and surfboard, and there's a safe place to leave your belongings.

From there, it’s just a 5-minute walk to the beach. We’ll start with a short warm-up (around 5 minutes), then jump into the basics of surfing.

First, you’ll learn how to catch waves. We’ll spend about 20 minutes in the water practicing this technique. Once you're comfortable, we’ll move on to the next step: how to stand up on the board. We'll do a quick practice on the sand before heading back into the water.

You’re welcome to catch as many waves as you like during the session. Our friendly and experienced instructors are always nearby to give you feedback and help you improve.

After the lesson, we’ll return to the surf school to drop off the equipment and collect your belongings. Showers and restrooms are available nearby at local shops and restaurants.
