The Adventure route is Canoë Montana's flagship descent: 15 km on the Hérault River for a full day of thrills in the rapids and moments of contemplation in the heart of unspoiled nature, about 1 hour from Montpellier.
The meeting point is directly at the Canoë Montana base in Agonès (large free parking lot), 15 minutes before the scheduled time. On site, take advantage of the coat check and toilets, then pick up your equipment: canoe, paddle, life jacket, helmet, and storage canister. A shuttle then takes you to the starting point, and the team gives you a safety briefing before boarding.
The descent begins in Ganges and immediately immerses you in the unique atmosphere of the Herault Gorges. As you glide along the water, you'll pass the beautiful medieval village of Laroque, cross a suspension bridge, and navigate a series of rapids, some more challenging than others. Beaches are dotted along the route: the perfect opportunity to take a break, swim, and have a picnic by the water.
Upon arrival, a shuttle (last departure at 6:00 pm) takes you back to the base where your vehicle is waiting for you. To finish the day: showers, coat check, shaded terrace and, in season (July-August), bar and food and drink on site.
