Embark on a guided hike through old juniper, African olive, and podocarpus trees. Spot endemic birds, monkeys, bushbucks, and possibly Menelik’s bushbuck. Visit the spring and waterfall (seasonal).
Enjoy a picnic lunch in the forest clearing or eco picnic site. Choose to rest or do an optional longer hike to the mountain ridge. Enjoy panoramic views and fresh highland air.
Transfer to a local eco-lodge or set up camp near the forest. Enjoy free time to relax, journal, or walk around. Have a traditional dinner or packed meal depending on arrangement. Enjoy storytelling or stargazing under the forest canopy.
The next day, enjoy a simple breakfast with forest ambiance. Take a short birdwatching walk or peaceful forest meditation. Spot early-morning wildlife and enjoy the quiet.
Prepare for return to Addis Ababa. Make an optional stop in Sebeta or Addis Alem to visit local craft markets or roadside cafés. Optionally, visit Menagesha Kidane Mehret Monastery if interested. Return to Addis Ababa and get dropped off at your hotel.
