We provide a genuine sushi making experience in a splendid mansion whose history goes back to the end of the nineteenth century.
Welcomed by a space decorated with antique paintings and furnished with classic commodities, you may learn from our local instructor the art of sushi making.
What better place than the ancient capital and the city of thousand temples to experience the culture of old Japan?
How about trying your hands at making a few different types of sushi while a pot of tea and some miso soup are prepared for you to enjoy in our cozy machiya?

Our staff will be glad to guide you through the mansion.
Due to time constraints and safety, our Chef will prepare the rice and cut the fish beforehand. The sushi making experience involves learning the techniques of shaping six nigiri, three temari, one gunkan, and one inari sushi. The sushi making experience lasts around an hour. You may then take all the time you would like to eat your creations in our machiya.
