After meeting near the Basilica of Saint Clare, at the fountain in front of the church, I’ll welcome you and offer a moment to enjoy a cup of coffee before our guided Assisi walking tour begins. That quiet introduction sets the atmosphere: a soft opening to a day filled with discovery. As we explore the city, I’ll take professional-style photos of you in picturesque and unique corners of Assisi, creating a personal collection of memories that captures the beauty of your experience.

Our tour starts at the Basilica of Saint Clare, where I’ll share the story of Saint Clare and the meaning behind the basilica’s delicate pink façade. From here, we wander through Assisi’s medieval streets, letting the charm of narrow alleys and unexpected views guide us toward the historic center.

In Assisi’s main square, I’ll bring to life the legends and history that shaped this lively heart of town. We’ll admire the ancient Temple of Minerva—one of Italy’s best-preserved Roman temples—and step inside to sense how centuries of worship transformed the space. We’ll also pause before the single Baroque fresco in the square, a small yet precious touch of artistry that many visitors overlook.

Our path then leads to the Basilica of Saint Francis, the highlight of any visit to Assisi and one of the most significant pilgrimage sites in the world. Inside the Upper and Lower Basilicas, masterpieces by Giotto, Cimabue, and other great artists illuminate the life and vision of Saint Francis. As we move through these sacred spaces, I’ll guide you through the stories, symbols, and architectural marvels that give this UNESCO site its extraordinary depth.

Please note: On Sundays, guided visits are not permitted inside the Basilica of Saint Clare or the Basilica of Saint Francis. In this case, I will introduce both monuments from the outside, and guests are welcome to enter independently.
