Early breakfast at 6.30am and Depart for a full day game viewing. This is the most important day since we are hoping to see the big five, especially the big cats which are extremely illusive. Also we will visit the famous Mara river where the great migration happens, have a guided tour by the rangers to see the Nile crocodiles and hippo families and just to top it off have a picnic lunch under a tree in the park overlooking the vast landscapes. It is in the Mara that perhaps the most spectacular event of the natural world takes place: the great migration. This is the annual migration of millions of wildebeest and zebra from the Serengeti (in Tanzania) in search of water and pasture. Following on their heels are the predators of the savanna – lions, cheetahs, jackals, hyenas and vultures.

Full-day tour of Ngorongoro that begins at 7 a.m. and ends at 3 p.m. with picnic lunch. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area spans vast expanses of highland plains, savanna, savanna woodlands and forests. Established in 1959 as a multiple land use area, with wildlife coexisting with semi-nomadic Maasai pastoralists practicing traditional livestock grazing, it includes the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest caldera. The property has global importance for biodiversity conservation due to the presence of globally threatened species, the density of wildlife inhabiting the area, and the annual migration of wildebeest, zebra, gazelles and other animals into the northern plains. Extensive archaeological research has also yielded a long sequence of evidence of human evolution and human-environment dynamics, including early hominid footprints dating back 3.6 million years.
