Pico de las Nieves, at an altitude of 1,949 m, is the highest mountain on Gran Canaria. The ascent is undemanding, as a road leads all the way to the Mirador del Pico de los Pozos de la Nieve viewpoint, ending in a parking lot. For those who prefer a more active experience, a walk along the ridge is a great option. If you want to hike up the mountain, park in Llanos de la Pez, from where a marked trail leads through the forest, gently uphill. The path is well-maintained, mostly shaded by pine trees, and offers beautiful views even during the ascent. After approximately 30-40 minutes of walking, you will reach the Mirador del Pico de los Pozos de la Nieve viewpoint, from where it is only a few steps to the summit itself.

The trail leads over a saddle with views of the mountains and the ocean, then descends to the beach itself. This is a challenging hike suitable for experienced hikers, with a total length of approximately 15 km (round trip). It is recommended to arrive at the beach before 3 pm, when access is safe due to the tide. A more comfortable option is a boat trip from the port of Puerto Rico, which will take you directly to the beach. This will save you physical effort.
