Day 1: Addis Ababa to Awash National Park

Your adventure begins with a pick-up from your hotel or the airport. We’ll reach Adama (formerly Nazret) in about one hour.

As we drive to the Awash River, watch for wildlife like Beisa Oryx and Klipspringer. We’ll visit Awash Gorge and Awash Falls before returning to the lodge.

In the evening, we’ll go on a game drive to spot Soemmerring’s Gazelle, Kudus, Warthogs, and more. Awash National Park is home to over 400 bird species, surrounded by grasslands and acacia scrub.

Day 2: Awash National Park to Alledighe Wildlife Reserve

We’ll set off early for Alledighe Wildlife Reserve (AWR), featuring vast grasslands and unique wildlife. Here, you can see Beisa Oryx, Grant Gazelle, and even Lions and Leopards.

Birdwatching is fantastic, with species like Ostrich and Kori Bustard. After our activities, we’ll return to Semera to prepare for the next day's journey.

Day 3: Semera to Hamedela

In the morning, we’ll visit Ragad (Asebo), a local salt mining area. Then we’ll continue to Dallol, known for its vibrant salt formations at 116 meters below sea level.

Day 4: Hamed Ela to Lake Assal and Erta Ale

We’ll head to Lake Assal for a stunning sunrise and explore its salt flats. Next, we’ll visit Dallol for its colorful mineral formations before trekking to Erta Ale to witness a permanent lava lake.

Day 5: Erta Ale to Lake Afdera and Semera

Explore Erta Ale’s main crater in the morning. After breakfast in Dodom, we’ll visit Lake Giulietti (Lake Afrera) before returning to Semera for your flight back to Addis Ababa, concluding this unforgettable adventure.
