One of the most popular snorkeling areas is around Turtle Point, located on the northeastern part of the island. As its name suggests, Turtle Point is famous for its resident sea turtles. Snorkelers here are almost guaranteed to encounter these gentle creatures grazing on sea grass or gracefully swimming by. Green sea turtles and hawksbill turtles are the most common species found here. Another notable spot is the Bounty Wreck, a sunken platform from an old pier that has become an artificial reef teeming with marine life.
