Day 1: Zanzibar – Dar es Salaam – Afternoon Game Drive

• 07:00 AM: Catch the first ferry from Zanzibar to Dar es Salaam.
• 09:30 AM: Transfer to the Dar es Salaam SGR station for the train to Morogoro.
• 13:00 PM: Your guide meets you at Mikumi gate with a 4x4 safari vehicle. You’ll have a quick lunch inside the park and continue with game drive
• 02:00 PM: Afternoon Game Drive. Enter the park gates and start exploring immediately. The Mkata Floodplain is famous for its “mini-Serengeti” feel, where you can see large herds of elephants, buffalo, and the iconic “Elton’s” giraffes.
• 06:00 PM: Head to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Full-Day Immersion in the Wild

• 06:30 AM: Sunrise Game Drive. This is the best time to catch lions on the move or leopards finishing a hunt.
• Mid-Morning: Visit the Hippo Pools. The concentration of hippos and crocodiles here provides excellent photo opportunities.
• Afternoon: Venture into the more remote areas of the park, such as the southern tracks, to look for the rare Greater Kudu and Sable Antelope.
• Late Afternoon: Enjoy a sundowner overlooking the savannah before returning to your accommodation.

Day 3: The Morning Return

• 06:30 AM: Early breakfast at the villa.
• 07:00 AM: Transfer back to Morogoro in the safari jeep.
• 09:00 AM: Board the SGR Train to Dar es Salaam.
• 11:00 AM: Arrival in Dar es Salaam.
• 12:00 PM: Take the late afternoon ferry back to Zanzibar.
• 14:00 PM: Arrive at the Zanzibar ferry terminal.
