Home – Shiyan (WDS) – All Day
Free airport pick-up at Shiyan Wudangshan Airport (WDS) at 2:00 PM or 11:00 PM. Staff with a welcome sign will assist with luggage and transfer to the hotel.

Welcome to Shiyan, “Auto City,” nestled at the foot of the Wudang Mountains. Surrounded by the Han River and Danjiangkou Reservoir, this city blends modern vitality with mountain charm, serving as a gateway to Taoist culture and martial arts heritage.

Meals: Not included (try hot dry noodles, freshwater fish, and local Hubei flavors).
Hotel: Wudang Mountain Narada Resort Hotel or similar

Day 2
Wudang Mountain – Taoist Wisdom & Natural Splendor – All Day
Ascend by cable car to Golden Summit Taihe Palace (2 hrs) – Taizipo (1 hr) – Purple Cloud Palace or Nanyan Palace (2 hrs).

Note: Purple Cloud Palace will be partially closed until Sept 30, 2025. During this time, Nanyan Palace will be visited instead.

  • Taihe Palace (Golden Summit): Ming Dynasty complex atop Tianzhu Peak with gilded halls and sweeping cloud-sea views.

  • Taizipo: Historic Taoist temple, once practice site of Emperor Zhenwu, featuring unique halls and osmanthus fragrance.

  • Purple Cloud Palace: Known as the “Forbidden City in the Clouds,” the largest Ming Taoist complex.

  • Nanyan Palace: “Immortal Palace on the Cliff,” a World Heritage site blending Yuan stone temples with cliffside views.

Day 3
Wudang Mountain – Home – All Day
Visit Yuzhen Palace + Tai Chi training (1.5 hrs) – Taiji Lake Cruise (1.5 hrs) – Yuxu Palace (1 hr). Evening transfer to Shiyan WDS Airport (flights after 21:00 recommended).

Meals: Breakfast (hotel), Lunch, Dinner included

  • Yuzhen Palace: Temple honoring Zhang Sanfeng, founder of Wudang martial arts; site for Tai Chi practice.

  • Taiji Lake Cruise: Scenic boat ride on Danjiangkou Reservoir with views of Tianzhu Peak and surrounding mountains.

  • Yuxu Palace: The “Wudang Forbidden City,” once the largest Taoist palace, now a vast Ming Dynasty ruin of striking beauty.
