What you can expect

  • Day 1: Tianmen Mountain & 72 Odd Towers Night Tour
    Morning/Afternoon: Arrive in Zhangjiajie, check into your hotel.

    Late Afternoon (~3-4 PM): Start your Tianmen Mountain tour. Take the world's longest alpine cable car up the mountain. Walk the Glass Skywalk and Guigu Plank Road for thrilling cliffside views.

    Evening: Experience the magical sunset and light show at Tianmen Cave, where lasers and music bring the natural arch to life.

    Night: After descending, head to the 72 Odd Towers. This Guinness World Record complex of stilted buildings lights up at night. Enjoy local snacks, cultural street performances, and the spectacular architectural projection show.

    Day 2: Zhangjiajie National Forest Park (Wulingyuan Scenic Area)
    Whole Day: Explore the core area, famous for its Avatar-inspired landscape.

    Route Suggestion (B-Line): Enter at the Wulingyuan East Gate (Flag Gate). Take the park shuttle bus directly to the Bailong Elevator. Ride it up for a stunning view of the pillar-like peaks. Walk to Yuanjiajie to see the “Avatar Hallelujah Mountain.” Later, take the shuttle to Tianzi Mountain for a panoramic “peak forest” view. Descend via the Tianzi Mountain Cable Car. Finally, visit Ten-mile Gallery (a scenic valley walk; a paid small train is optional).

    Tip: This route hits the major sights efficiently. Purchase tickets in advance to secure entry and choose the correct gate.

    Day 3: Grand Canyon Glass Bridge & Furong Ancient Town
    Morning: Check out and travel to Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon. Experience walking on the high-altitude glass-bottom bridge and explore the canyon below.

    Afternoon: After the canyon, begin the transfer to Furong Town (approx. 1.5-2 hours by road). Meet your driver at a pre-arranged spot.

    Late Afternoon/Evening: Arrive in Furong Town and check into your hotel. Explore the ancient town, known as the “waterfall-hanging town.” Walk the flagstone streets, see the Tuija stilted buildings, and find a good spot to watch the waterfall illuminated at night. Enjoy a local dinner by the river.

    Stay: It is recommended to stay overnight in Furong Town to fully enjoy its evening charm and avoid the additional cost and hassle of returning to Zhangjiajie city.
