What To Expect

Immerse yourself in the natural beauty and the rich culture of Mekong Delta region and explore the local floating market, the most unique type of market that you cannot find anywhere in Vietnam. In addition, experience the rural life when staying in a local house you may and learn how to cook some Vietnamese delicacies.

ITINERARY IN BRIEF

Day 1: HCM City –Cai Be– Can Tho (L)

07:00 - 07:30 We pick up at hotel in Ho Chi Minh City district 1, then depart for Cai Be. Upon arrival, take a boat ride and explore on the Tien River. Experience the area's diversity and lush orchard gardens, and venture through charming villages, discovering ancient houses and indigenous culture. Visit a family business producing coconut fudges and crispy rice popcorn. Taste fresh fruit, enjoy Southern Vietnamese folk music, and paddle through scenic canals in the Upper Mekong Delta.

We then have lunch at local restaurant and cycle through orchards, interact with islanders for insights into daily life, and visit Ba Kiet’s ancient house. Next, we return by boat to Cai Be and head to Can Tho City for an overnight stay.

Day 2: Can Tho – Cai Rang Floating Market – Tra Su Forest – Chau Doc (B/L/D)

06:00 Have breakfast at hotel. We then take boat to explore the scenic tributaries of the Hau river and a visit to the lively Cai Rang Floating Market. Embark on a walking tour of a local noodle factory and visit the Munir Ansay Pagoda, a renowned Khmer temple known for its unique architecture. Next, travel by boat to the Con Son tourist area to tour the fruit plantation and indulge in seasonal fruits. Enjoy lunch before departing for Chau Doc. Visit the Tra Su Forest, an intriguing destination in An Giang known for its diverse flora and fauna within a vast mangrove forest. Experience a rowing boat journey through the lush green forest with breathtaking views of the surroundings. Checking in and relaxing at the hotel. End the day with a delightful dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 3: Chau Doc–Dong Thap - HCMC (B/L)

06:00 Check out and have breakfast at hotel. We then visit the vibrant floating village and the Cham Village. Next, immerse yourself in the bustling atmosphere of Chau Doc Market, a vibrant hub of local life. We then visit Hang Temple, a hidden gem nestled within Sam Mountain. Enjoy a leisurely lunch at the restaurant. After lunch, visit the Go Thap historical site.

We end the trip in Ho Chi Minh around 18:30.
