Our trips are not just about watching animals but also a chance to connect with local communities, learn about their traditions, and understand their vital role in protecting the mountain gorillas. Our trips include cultural encounters with the local community and accommodations close to the lake or river or other forms of nature to give you the opportunity to connect with nature. This trip includes a cultural encounter with the Batwa, a unique indigenous group that plays a major role in Gorilla preservation. Your accommodation will be at a non-profit, which helps women who have suffered domestic violence and others who are very poor. A portion of the proceeds from this trip is channeled back to our partners, non-profits who are supporting and investing in their communities.
