What you can expect

Prepare for an unforgettable overnight adventure through the heart of the Red Centre! This intimate, small-group experience immerses you in the wonders of Uluru and Kata Tjuta, two of Australia’s most iconic landmarks.

Your journey begins in the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, with an expert guide sharing the region's rich cultural and natural history. From ancient Aboriginal legends to hidden gems, your guide will bring the desert to life, making each moment feel like a step back in time.

Choose between cozy permanent eco tents or, for a more adventurous experience, sleep under the stars in a traditional swag—canvas-covered bedrolls that let you fully connect with nature. With the starry sky above, who needs a five-star hotel.

This isn’t just sightseeing—it’s an immersive cultural experience. Join your guide in preparing meals, learn bush cooking, share campfire stories, and connect with fellow travellers. Encounter local wildlife, share laughter, and make memories along the way. Get ready for an adventure that’s far beyond the ordinary.

Day 1: Alice Springs to Uluru (L, D)
We’ll start early from Alice Springs, stopping at Curtin Springs for a break, before arriving at the Uluru campground for lunch. In the afternoon, we’ll explore the National Park, starting at the Cultural Centre, where you’ll learn about the region’s Aboriginal heritage. Next, we’ll visit Uluru, walking around its base to the Mutitjulu Waterhole, admiring sacred rock art. We’ll also visit Kantju Gorge, home to Central Australia’s tallest waterfall and a sacred elders' cave. The day ends with a sunset at the Uluru lookout, followed by a hearty dinner.

Day 2: Uluru to Kata Tjuta to Yulara (B, L)

Start early with a light breakfast to experience the sunrise over Kata Tjuta The Olgas. Watch the sky come alive and admire the ancient rock formations rising dramatically from the desert. Then, explore one of two stunning hiking trails—Valley of the Winds or Walpa Gorge—through the heart of Kata Tjuta. These ancient rocks are over 500 million years old, offering breathtaking views and a walk through history.

After the hike, we’ll return to Yulara Resort or Ayers Rock Campground for lunch and reflection. We’ll arrive between 12:30 pm and 1:00 pm, but please avoid booking outbound flights before 2:15 pm in case of delays.
