What you can expect
09:00 Meet at Ministop Tsubaki-cho Store, Taiko-dori Exit, Nagoya Station, then depart.
11:30 ▼ Hida Takayama (150 minutes, including free time for lunch)
Stroll through the historic old town of Takayama.
Located in the northern part of Gifu Prefecture and serving as the heart of the Hida region, the central district of Takayama retains the complete layout of a castle town and merchant town from the Edo period, earning it the nickname “Hida’s Little Kyoto.” Visitors can wander through the Sanmachi Suji historic district, which features buildings from the Meiji and Taisho eras, sample local specialties such as Hida beef and Takayama ramen, and admire traditional crafts showcasing the exceptional skills of Hida’s artisans. Hida Takayama is full of charm at every turn.
15:00 ▼ Shirakawa-go Gassho-zukuri Village (90 minutes)
Surrounded by mountains, crisscrossed by rice paddies, and traversed by clear streams, Shirakawa-go is often called the kingdom of forests and rivers. The name “Shirakawa-go” originates from the Shiratani River, which flows from Mount Hakusan and turns a milky white when it merges with the Shogawa River.
Food recommendation: Ochudo, a traditional gassho-style house café featured in the popular manga ONE PIECE.
16:30 Depart and return to Nagoya Station, where the tour concludes.
19:00 Dismissal in front of Nagoya Station (MINI STOP convenience store at the back entrance of BIC CAMERA, West Exit of Nagoya Station).
