Along some sections of the hike, you'll be able to see the lights of the cities of David, Boquete, or Volcan in the distance. Your headlamp will illuminate your path through the terrain, which changes with altitude. Volcan Baru National Park features tropical rainforests, cloud forests, natural savannas, grasslands, and volcanic terrain. You'll reach the summit of Volcan Baru between 4:30 and 6:00 a.m., depending on your group's pace. It's cold up there, so be sure to dress warmly.
