Take a death-defying leap into the gorge off the Victoria Falls Bridge, between the Zimbabwean and Zambian border posts. The bridge is 111 meters from the water level and is one of the highest jumps in the world. For the more experienced jumpers, speak to your jumpmaster and make it more adventurous by doing an ankle-tied backflip or star elevator.
You are issued with a gate pass at the border so you must remember your passport. Allow an hour before your jump for customs formalities and walking time. Before jumping, there is a safety talk and you will learn how the harness system works, what to expect, and the recovery procedure.
The cords are safe and the ankle harness has two components. There is also a waist harness with a separate attachment to the cord as a backup system. There have been over 500,000 jumps worldwide with this system without incident of slipping or coming undone. Jumpers are hoisted back up to the catwalk below the bridge after the jump assisted by the crew.
