Perkara yang anda boleh jangka

Discover the best of Palma on a guided walking tour through its historic old town and the Cathedral of Mallorca. Travel through centuries of history as you explore the city’s origins, evolution, and most fascinating stories with a licensed local guide.

Inside the Cathedral of Mallorca, you will learn about its architectural development and the three major artistic and monumental interventions that have shaped the building over time:

The reconstruction of the main portal at the end of the 19th century

The major reform carried out by Antoni Gaudí between 1904 and 1914, commissioned by Bishop Joan Pere Campins

The contemporary art intervention by Miquel Barceló (2007) in the Chapel of Sant Pere

During the visit, you will discover how Palma evolved from Roman times to the present day, while learning about the Cathedral’s construction, its different names, its artistic treasures, and some of the most surprising curiosities of one of the most impressive Gothic cathedrals in the Mediterranean. Why is it called La Seu? Who is buried inside? When was it built? These questions — and many more — will be answered along the way.

After the Cathedral visit, the tour continues through the medieval streets of Palma’s old town. You will admire traditional Mallorcan courtyards (patios), pass by the parish church of Santa Eulàlia, the Royal Convent of Sant Francesc, Plaça de Cort, and part of the former Jewish quarter.

The tour finishes at Mercat de l’Olivar, the city’s largest market and an ideal place to experience local gastronomy or enjoy lunch at one of the nearby restaurants.

ℹ️ Important information – Mallorca Cathedral rules:
