Nereide is a traditional boat built by the Genoese shipyard Bianchi & Cecchi. At 8 meters (26 feet) in length, it perfectly meets our commitment to quality and comfort, providing an exclusive setting that can accommodate a maximum of 12 passengers at a time. The boat is equipped with comfortable seating, a small sundeck, an awning, a convenient ladder to facilitate entry into the water, and all the safety equipment required by the relevant regulations. Salento Escursioni also offers the option of a daily sunset tour lasting approximately 2.5 hours to admire the Ionian Coast and Santa Maria di Leuca. Departing from the Port of Torre Vado, our crew will take guests on a journey to discover the Marina of San Gregorio and the Caves of the Ionian Coast (Dragon Cave, Stable and Nativity Scene Caves, Giants' Cave, Three Doors Cave, Child's Cave, River Cave) en route to Santa Maria di Leuca, passing by Punta Ristola, the “Heel of Italy,” where guests can admire the beauty of the marina from the sea. During the excursion, the on-board staff will entertain guests with legends and historical information about our region, also available in English, French, German, and Spanish, thanks to the audio tours provided on board.
During the tour, there will be a stop for swimming/snorkeling in the beautiful, crystal-clear waters and for enjoying a delicious aperitif featuring typical Salento products, served in single-serving, eco-friendly boxes and accompanied by Prosecco, water, and lemon or peach tea, all while admiring the wonderful colors of the sunset over the sea.
