Join us in the heart of Tokyo for an unforgettable sake tasting experience led by a certified Sake Navigator.
Designed especially for international travelers, this hands-on cultural activity is perfect for sake beginners and enthusiasts alike.
Upon arrival at Manga Dojo Tokyo, you’ll be welcomed into a cozy and stylish setting reserved exclusively for international guests. Your host will guide you through the basics of sake — how it’s made, how to enjoy it, and how to identify your favorite type.
You’ll then sample 5 to 6 carefully selected varieties of sake, each representing one of the four main styles: Kunshu (fragrant), Soshu (light), Junshu (rich), and Jukushu (aged). Discover how flavor and aroma change depending on temperature — including a warm sake (kanzake) tasting.
Next, get creative by decorating your own traditional masu (wooden sake cup) using a Japanese brush pen. You can write your name, draw a design, and take it home as a memorable souvenir.
Throughout the experience, you’ll enjoy light snacks that pair beautifully with sake. The event is conducted in English and provides a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere — ideal for solo travelers, couples, or small groups looking to enjoy Japanese culture through its most iconic drink.
