Overview

  • Teresa welcomes you to her apartment, 20 minutes walk from Ortigia, for an authentic experience of traditional Sicilian cuisine for small groups, maximum five participants.
    Together you will prepare three traditional and seasonal recipes: an appetizer, a pasta, and a dessert, or if you wish three pasta formats (upon request).
    You will get your hands dirty, learning to knead, roll out, and shape fresh pasta, just like it's done in the family here in Sicily.
    Teresa, born and raised in Syracuse, will share with you family recipes and the secrets of local cuisine.

Teresa welcomes you to her elegant apartment in the heart of the city for an authentic Sicilian culinary experience. Learn to prepare three seasonal and traditional recipes from scratch, using fresh ingredients: local flours, fish, meat, vegetables, and legumes.Enjoy a practical and relaxing experience in a warm and familiar atmosphere, just like being at home.Make your experience even more special! Add a guided tour of the historic Ortigia Point of Sale before your cooking class. The Point of Sale tour starts at 9:00, lasts one hour, we meet at Burgio's shop inside the Point of Sale. Teresa will guide you through the Point of Sale, introducing you to the basics of local cuisine, local fresh products, and traditional preserved foods. Along the road, you will select and buy some of the ingredients you will use during your cooking class. A sweet or savory breakfast is included even during the visit to the Point of Sale. Additional cost: €50 per person. The Point of Sale tour must be requested at the time of Reservation. Transport is available for an additional cost. If you book the extra tour, the experience starts at 9:00 and ends at 13:00.
