After about a 50-minute drive from Riga, we’ll start our 5 km walk through the forest and along the famous 3.7 km wooden boardwalk that winds across the bog. A shorter route is available, but it does not include the scenic viewing platform — a must for the best sunrise views.

This is one of Latvia’s top spots for both locals and visitors — perfect not only for watching the sunrise but also for peaceful daytime walks surrounded by untouched nature.

At the viewing platform, enjoy a warm tea and a light homemade breakfast as the sun rises over the misty wetlands, painting the landscape in gold and pink.

The day before the tour, you’ll receive an email with the exact departure time — usually about 1.5 to 2 hours before sunrise.
