This private e-bike tour combines Tacoma’s waterfront scenery with meaningful local stories, from industrial transformation to cultural history. With a relaxed pace, frequent stops, and personalized guiding, each ride is tailored to your group—making it easy and enjoyable for a range of ages and experience levels.

E-bikes are provided for riders ages 16+, while younger participants are welcome on standard pedal bikes. For families with small children, child carriers can be attached to pedal bikes for those who prefer not to ride.

At Point Ruston Public Market, your guide will introduce the history of this revitalized waterfront, once home to the ASARCO smelter. Today, it’s a vibrant gathering place with shops, restaurants, and sweeping views of Puget Sound and Mount Rainier. This is where we’ll get comfortable on our bikes, go over safety basics, and begin our ride along the scenic Ruston Way waterfront.

Tacoma Chinese Reconciliation Park

At Chinese Reconciliation Park, we pause to explore an important chapter of Tacoma’s history. This waterfront site honors the Chinese community that once lived here and reflects on the events of 1885, when residents were forcibly expelled from the city. Your guide will share the story of displacement and the efforts toward reconciliation that led to the creation of this peaceful park. Surrounded by views of Puget Sound, this stop offers both a powerful story and a moment to reflect.

Owen Beach

At Owen Beach, we take a break along one of Tacoma’s most scenic shorelines. Nestled within Point Defiance Park, this peaceful beach offers sweeping views across Puget Sound, with driftwood-lined shores and a chance to spot local wildlife. It’s the perfect place to relax, take photos, and enjoy the natural beauty that defines the Pacific Northwest before continuing the ride.

Dune Peninsula at Point Defiance Park

At Dune Peninsula at Point Defiance Park, we explore one of Tacoma’s most unique landscapes. Built atop the former site of the ASARCO smelter, this peninsula is a powerful example of environmental restoration. Your guide will share how this area transformed from heavy industry into a public space, while you take in sweeping views of Puget Sound and Mount Rainier.
