Honolulu's world-famous Waikiki Beach is one of the only places in the world where you can catch a wave on an outrigger canoe, an experience once reserved exclusively for Hawaiian royalty. All that's required is a sense of adventure and a love for the extraordinary.

A certified Waikiki Beach Boy will start off your canoeing adventure with instructions on how to paddle and sync your timing with the other paddlers, plus provide safety information that you will need to successfully surf the waves. Each outrigger canoe ride has 2 captains onboard to ensure your safety.

After greeting your captain, take your seat aboard the canoe and paddle out through the surf with your fellow paddlers. Great views of the Waikiki skyline and Diamond Head await you after you get past the breakers.

Under the guidance of your captain, maneuver the canoe around and then push yourself to catch a wave and surf your canoe back to shore.

Great exercise, an exhilarating ride, and a bit of adventure are your rewards for hopping into one of these outrigger canoes and daring the surf of Waikiki Beach.
