Simona will greet you at the infopoint. After a brief tour overview on the map, also available in English and French, you'll be escorted to the boarding point. It's conveniently located, so you won't have to walk in the sun. Once there, Captain Roberto will welcome you, and you'll set off to discover the island of Ortigia and all its monuments from the sea: Marina promenade, Cathedral, Fonte Aretusa, Castello Maniace, and the entire Levante waterfront. The boat will then head towards the northeast coast of the new city of Syracuse, where you can admire the high rocky ridges and caves that, thanks to this type of boat, can also be visited inside. During the cruise, you can also take a break to swim in our crystal-clear waters. On the way back, we'll head back from Porto Piccolo with the evocative passage under the 3 bridges that connect Ortigia to the mainland, and you'll return to the starting point.
Please note: there's no tour guide on board, but the friendly captain himself will give some explanations in English and French, even if he doesn't speak them very well.
We'll be waiting for you 20 minutes before the tour to check in at our “Papyrus Excursion” stand located at Largo Porta Marina, 2 right next to the Porta della Marina monument.
