Rooted in its history, the Brasserie du Four à Briques was born from the desire to combine heritage and modernity. Inspired by the brick kiln of Saint-Pryvé-Saint-Mesmin, we developed a project that links local history with contemporary creativity. Now located in Saran, at 13 Rue des Entrepreneurs (Vallées business park), our brewery remains a small-scale operation, driven by a passion for the product, a spirit of sharing, and the desire to offer quality craft beers that are accessible and deeply rooted in their region.
The tour begins where it all comes to life: in the heart of our production area. You will discover the raw materials that define our beers – malt, hops, yeast and water – but above all, the way we select and process them. Here, each ingredient has a specific role, and each choice affects the final taste. You quickly come to understand that brewing is not just about production: it is about creating a balance.
We then take you behind the scenes of the brewing process. From crushing the malt to mashing, boiling, and hopping, each step is explained to you in simple terms, with a hands-on approach. You see the process, you smell the aromas developing, and you are immersed in a truly sensory experience. Brewing becomes vibrant, accessible, almost self-evident.
Then comes the fermentation stage, which is often overlooked but essential. This is where the magic happens. Yeasts convert sugars into alcohol and aromas, giving each beer its own personality. We will explain how we master this key stage to guarantee quality, consistency and aromatic expression.
Behind each creation is a team of complementary members: Jules in brewery development, Marian in production, Odin in communications, and Léa, who recently joined to strengthen the sales and communications departments. Each member contributes their vision and energy to bring a coherent and authentic collective project to life.
Beyond production, we also pay special attention to our environmental impact. This includes a returnable bottle system, in partnership with Consigne & Moi, to reduce waste and make our activity part of a more sustainable and responsible approach.
The tour naturally ends with a tasting of our beers, brewed on site. A convivial moment where you put words to the flavors, where you understand what you are drinking. Each beer tells a story: that of its style, its ingredients, but also of our way of creating it.
