About this trip

Join our Weekend Getaway trip to Puebla and Tlaxcala that will take you away from the hectic urban routine for 4 days full of discoveries, adventures & fun. Explore natural & cultural gems during the day while hanging out and having fun in the evening!

Itinerary

Day 1: Mexico City

Bienvenidos a Ciudad de Mexico - the largest city in Latin America where ancient and modern coexist in harmony. The city is a world-class cultural hub that offers a huge variety of museums, galleries, and architectural gems, along with bustling nightlife and diverse gastronomic culture. Arrive at any time before meeting your group and Trip Leader at your hotel at 2 pm. After a short welcome meeting, go for a walking tour in the historic center, followed by a guided visit to the National Anthropology Museum. In the evening join an optional dinner & get-together in of local restaurants/bars.

Day 2: Mexico City - Teotihuacan - La Malinche National Park

In the morning, after breakfast, go to visit Teotihuacan (UNESCO) -a complex of awesome pyramids, set amid what was once Mesoamerica’s greatest city. After a tour around the area continue to La Malinche National Park:accommodation, lunch, and an optional hike to the summit (cca 4h). Optional dinner & get-together in a nearby restaurant in the evening.

Day 3: La Malinche National Park - Tlaxcala - Cholula - Puebla

In the morning, after breakfast, go to Tlaxcala- the capital of Mexico’s smallest state, an unhurried town with a compact colonial downtown defined by grand government buildings, imposing churches and a handsome central plaza. Upon a walking tour around the historic center and a glass of refreshing pulque(an ancient Mexican beverage made from the fermented sap of the maguey) we will go to Cholula, the oldest city in America, inhabited without interruption since its origins, where you can see The Great Pyramid of Cholula, the world's largest pyramid topped by the Virgen de Los Remedios church. After a walking tour and an optional dinner in one of the local restaurants.

Day 4: Puebla - Mexico City

Breakfast, check-out, and departure to Mexico City arriving there before noon.
