What you can expect

In this full day trip from Bangkok you will cook five delicious, classic Thai dishes in a beautiful open-air environment after getting all the ingredients that you will need at a local Thai market. You'll visit the magnificent Khao Yai National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, for a short hike in the jungle to the Heaw Narok Waterfall and you will see the Park from a fantastic Viewpoint and more. There is no shortage of wildlife at Khao Yai, and with a little luck you may see wild elephants crossing the road! This tour comes with transfers from/to your centrally located Bangkok hotel.

Enjoy a free hotel pick-up from your hotel in Bangkok and head to an authentic, morning market north of the city. Be guided by an expert, as you'll be taught how to choose the best fresh, seasonal produce needed to create some delicious dishes for your lunch later in the day.

After this eye-opening visit it is onto the Always Smile Thai Cuisine open-air kitchen to learn how to create five classic Thai dishes. Aprons, chopping boards and kitchen knives are all provided so that you have a 'hands-on' experience when taking the cooking class. At the end of the lesson, enjoy eating the delicious meal you've just made with bottled water and fresh fruits or Thai Desserts.

Afterwards, entering from the main gate on the Prachinburi side, en-route to the park, continue the program with a visit to Khao Yai National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where you’ll take a short hike to Heaw Narok Waterfall. Stop at the Visitor Centre to get facts about the park’s history and attractions.

The final stop in Khao Yai National Park is Km. 30 Viewpoint, on Thanarat Road, where you can enjoy the scenery in the north part of this expansive and beautiful National Park. After leaving from Khao Yai National Park you'll reach the gate of the red-white restaurant which is surrounded by a small, lush tropical garden that provides a refreshing country feel that perfectly fits into the surrounding scenic mountains of Khao Yai National Park. Here there's something complimentary for everyone such as pasteurized milk, organic coffee, herbal tea, fresh juice or homemade ice-cream served in a special souvenir cup.

Around mid-afternoon you will begin the drive back to Bangkok, arriving back to your hotel at approximately 6.30pm.

The lunch you will prepare will be:
Som Tam
Pad Thai
Tom Yum Goong
Pad Kra Pao Gai
Pad Pak Bung Fai Daeng
