The Scandola nature reserve and the village of Girolata, must be included in your program!

This fishermen's village with only 15 residents per year is only accessible by boat or by a pedestrian path called “Le Chemin du factor”, a privileged moment in an extraordinary place in Corsica.

There, after visiting the Scandola reserve, you can enjoy a break to visit the small village of Girolata, lunch (restaurants or snacks) or picnic.

Offering spectacular landscapes, the boat trip in the reserve is considered one of the essentials of a trip to Corsica.
Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Scandola nature reserve is a reserve that is both marine and terrestrial whose access is strictly regulated.
It is part of the Corsican Regional Natural Park.

Covering 900 hectares of land and 1000 seabed, the reserve offers a splendid landscape shaped by erosion. Of volcanic origin, the red rocks of the old caldera plunge into the sea and contrast with the intense blue of water.
You will follow the cliffs and can discover the caves and the amazing shapes of the rocks.
The Scandola reserve also houses exceptional fauna and flora. Open your eye and you can try to see the fisherman's Balbuzard, the emblematic bird of Scandola or the Pilgrim Falcon.
