Your day will begin in a comfortable, air-conditioned van, departing from one of the pick-up locations in Heidelberg, Weinheim, or Mörlenbach. We will explore the breathtakingly beautiful old town of Neckargemünd, nestled in the Neckar Valley, winding through ancient alleyways and passing by historic half-timbered houses.
Join us in visiting the remains of Dilsberg Castle, with its myths and legends, and learn about the tragic love story that once unfolded here.
Continuing along the Neckar, you will visit another jewel of the Neckar Valley: Eberbach. Here, you can sample the famous Viktoria von Eberbach cake, which even delighted Queen Elizabeth.
Afterward, you will visit one of the most beautiful surviving dripstone caves formed in shell limestone. Featuring unique stalagmite formations, including one shaped like a wedding cake, you will learn on a guided tour how the past shaped this cave and immerse yourself in its incredible magic.
Now it's time to lace up your hiking boots – we'll climb the eroded crater of an extinct volcano on the highest mountain in the Odenwald and explore its fascinating surroundings and the fascinating story of its formation.
After a short break in the van, we'll get active again and visit the southernmost castle in Hesse, perched high above the Neckar River, where we'll enjoy the fantastic views. From here, our route will take us down, accompanied by panoramic views, to one of the oldest and most tranquil towns in the Neckar Valley.
At the end of this eventful and adventurous day, you will have plenty of great photos and memories to take home.
