Discover or rediscover one of the most beautiful châteaux of the Loire Valley, its architecture and its extraordinary history, with an entertaining tour that will help you understand everything about this unique heritage, whether you're 7 or 97!
As an independent guide, I organize this small group tour, limited to a maximum of 10 participants. You will therefore join other visitors to explore the history of a castle where the kings and queens of France lived long before Versailles.
In addition to the crimes and conspiracies that took place there, I will explain the different architectural styles that can be seen there and that make this château a unique place in France. We will also trace the genealogy of the Valois kings and even the beginnings of the Bourbons. Don't worry, we'll do all this with a little touch of humor and some fun anecdotes!
Please note: My service only includes the guided tour; the entrance ticket to the château is not included and must be purchased by you.
Also, get ready, because this tour is interactive! You'll need to take part by answering my questions or even trying to remember the names of our kings and queens.
Although this château is less well-known than Versailles or even Chambord, it played a crucial role in our great history of France, and the other châteaux of the Loire Valley would not have been the same without it.
In addition, to ensure optimal listening comfort, I use an audio system (transmitter and headphones for each participant). This will make the tour and your understanding of it even better!
I'll meet you directly outside the entrance to the Royal Château of Blois for our 1.5-hour guided visit, which will end inside the monument.
To help you spot me easily: I am a young brunette with glasses. I will be waiting for you in Castle Square with my guide badge around my neck and a French flag in my hand.
To ensure the tour runs smoothly, please arrive at the meeting point 10 minutes before the departure time.
Please note that the visitor parking lots are not located at the foot of the castle, and most parking in the city is paid! So allow a little time to walk (5 to 15 minutes) from your vehicle to reach the Château stress-free.
Here are two convenient options for parking:
The Edmond Mounin parking lot: it is completely free and located about a 15-minute walk away.
The Mail car park: it is paid parking but remains affordable, and is about a 10-minute walk away.
