We will meet at the Tourist Information Office in Mörsdorf.
From there, we walk a short distance through the village to the starting point of the Geierlay loop (a beautiful photo opportunity). We wind our way up on a narrow path and reach a meadow area. Only a few meters separate us from the breathtaking “Geierlay” suspension rope bridge. After the opportunity for a photo shoot, we venture onto the bridge (360 meters long, 100 meters above the valley). We cross the bridge slowly and with plenty of time for taking photos. We continue hiking on a beautiful forest path, under the bridge and down into the Mörsdorf stream valley. We follow the stream for a while and reach a beautiful and rustic place (let yourself be surprised!). There we will get a drink and a hearty snack. Well refreshed, we follow a narrow path out of the valley, up to Mörsdorf, and back to the starting point.
The hike is about 7 km long with an elevation gain of 250 meters and takes about 3–3.5 hours.
