Guided Day Trip From Lisbon: Discover the Algarve – with Optional Benagil Cave Boat Tour.

Departure from Lisbon:
Your friendly, knowledgeable guide and driver will pick you up directly from your Lisbon hotel in a comfortable private vehicle. Relax during the scenic 2.5-hour drive south along the A2 highway, passing through the rolling hills of the Alentejo countryside, dotted with cork trees and whitewashed villages. A short stop for coffee or breakfast can be arranged on the way.

Algar Seco – Carvoeiro
Our first stop is Algar Seco, a dramatic coastal rock formation near the charming village of Carvoeiro. Follow the scenic boardwalk to explore natural arches, sea caves, and rock pools, including the famous “Boneca” (Doll) Cave. This is a perfect spot for photographs and to take in the panoramic views of the Atlantic.

The day continues with a visit to Benagil sea cave from Portimão Marina, board a high-speed boat at 12:00 PM for a thrilling 90-minute ride along the Algarve’s spectacular coastline. Your skipper and guide will take you to: Benagill Cave –
✳️ The most iconic cave in Portugal, with its dramatic skylight and turquoise waters.
✳️10+ Secret Caves – Accessible only by boat, these hidden gems will leave you in awe.
✳️Spectacular Rock Formations – Towering cliffs, sea arches, and striking stacks.

Next, continue your journey to the charming town of Lagos– Lunch & Historic Center
Arrive in Lagos, one of the Algarve’s most vibrant towns. Enjoy free time for lunch at a traditional Portuguese restaurant (lunch not included), where you can savor:

✳️Cataplana – the Algarve’s signature seafood stew.
✳️Spicy piri-piri chicken with fries and salad.

After lunch, wander through Lagos’ charming old town, and continue to some of the Algarve’s most stunning coastal spots:
✳️Praia Dona Ana & Praia do Camilo – Famous for golden sands, crystal-clear waters, and dramatic cliffs, accessible via wooden staircases.
✳️Ponta da Piedade – One of Portugal’s most breathtaking viewpoints, with panoramic views of towering cliffs, sea arches, and turquoise waters. Perfect for short scenic walks and unforgettable photos.

Return to Lisbon: Bid farewell to the Algarve as we head back to Lisbon. Enjoy a relaxing ride, with the option for a quick coffee stop along the way. Arrive back at your hotel in the evening, full of memories from this incredible day.
