Day 1: Departure from Delhi & Arrival in Varanasi
Morning:
Flight from Delhi to Varanasi: Early morning flight, which takes around 1.5 hours.
Airport Transfer: Upon arrival in Varanasi, a pre-arranged vehicle will take you to your hotel for check-in and freshening up.
Late Morning: Sightseeing in Varanasi
Sarnath Visit: After breakfast, you can head to Sarnath, about 10 km from Varanasi. This is where Lord Buddha gave his first sermon. Visit the Dhamek Stupa, Chaukhandi Stupa, and the Sarnath Museum.
Lunch: Enjoy a traditional Indian lunch at a local restaurant.
Afternoon: Explore Temples
Kashi Vishwanath Temple: One of the most famous and sacred temples of Varanasi, dedicated to Lord Shiva.
Durga Temple & Bharat Mata Temple: These temples are significant landmarks in Varanasi and worth a visit for their unique architectural and cultural importance.
Evening: Ganga Aarti Ceremony
Ganges River Aarti: In the evening, head to Dashashwamedh Ghat for the iconic Ganga Aarti. This spiritual and visually mesmerizing ceremony takes place at sunset and is one of the highlights of Varanasi. You can witness it from the ghat or take a boat ride for a better view from the river.
Overnight Stay: After the Aarti, enjoy a traditional dinner and return to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 2: Morning in Varanasi & Return to Delhi
Early Morning: Boat Ride on the Ganges
Sunrise Boat Ride: Experience the serenity of Varanasi at sunrise with a boat ride along the Ganges River. You’ll see devotees performing morning rituals and get a panoramic view of the ancient ghats.
Walk Along the Ghats: Post the boat ride, take a stroll along the ghats, visiting Manikarnika Ghat (the famous cremation ground) and other historically significant spots.
Breakfast: Return to the hotel for breakfast.
Explore Local Markets (Optional)
If time permits, visit the local bazaars where you can shop for Banarasi silk, handicrafts, and souvenirs.
Transfer to the Airport: After check-out, head to the airport for your flight back to Delhi.
Return Flight to Delhi: Late morning or early afternoon flight to Delhi.
