Pick up Banyuwangi Hotel - Drive to Paltuding
Our driver will pick you up from your Hotel in Banyuwangi 00.05 AM, the exact pick-up time will be informed after you have completed your booking with us. Before the meeting, we will send you the assigned driver and tour guide so that you can find him easily at the hotel lobby without worrying about asking the wrong person. Then we directly drive to Paltuding as a base to start your Kawah Ijen hike, the drive takes roughly 1 hour. Along the drive you could take a short sleep, prepare to bring water and some snacks otherwise we can also stop at the nearby minimarket on the way to Paltuding. Just simply communicate this to the driver.
Paltuding - Blue Fire - Sunrise - Sulfur Mining
After taking care of the registration, along with your tour guide, we hike to the top of the volcano. Walk to the steep path for 1 hour, and stop over halfway to take a short break at Pos Bunder. To get to the blue fire spot we need to descend to the bottom of the crater and walk down to the narrow path for about 30 minutes. Good shoes are a must due to the slippery path and narrow, we have to share the same path with the sulfur miner.
When the sun rises, you will be invited to climb the crater to enjoy the stunning natural scenery with fresh air & shade. Rest on the edge of the crater at an altitude of 2385 meters and enjoy the best panorama of the lake of acid water which reflects the spectacular view in the surrounding walls that gives the impression of doom. The sulfur miners go down into the crater and climb back up by passing a dangerous path on the edge of the Ijen crater with a load of as much as 80 kilograms on their shoulders, this is a dangerous and hard job. Do not forget to take pictures in this area as proof that you have visited one of the most amazing and dangerous places on earth. After enjoying the natural scenery at Crater of Ijen and then descend the slope of Mount Ijen until the vehicle’s parking area where your driver is waiting to drive you back to your hotel.
Drive to Ketapang- Take A Ferry - Drive to Bali
Check out from your hotel after breakfast and shower then our driver will take you to Ketapang ferry. Take ferry to Bali by yourself, our Bali driver will meet you up at the exit of Gilimanuk Port to drive you to your hotel in Bali area.
