Explore the ancient Roman city of Jerash and float in the Dead Sea, the lowest point on Earth, on this full-day tour from Amman.

Your day will begin with a scenic drive to Jerash, located about an hour north of Amman. Upon arrival, you will have time to explore the city.

Jerash was founded in the 2nd century BC and was one of the ten cities of the Decapolis, a league of Roman cities in the region. The city was well-preserved thanks to a sandstorm that buried it in the 8th century AD.

You can visit the city's many highlights, including the Hadrian's Arch, the Oval Plaza, the South Theatre, the Temple of Artemis, and the Temple of Zeus. You can also visit the Jerash Archaeological Museum, which houses a collection of artefacts from the city's Roman past.

After exploring Jerash, you can continue your journey to the Dead Sea. The Dead Sea is a salt lake located in the Jordan Rift Valley. It is known for its high salinity, which is so high that no fish or plants can live in it. However, the high salinity also gives the Dead Sea its unique therapeutic properties.
