The tour starts at the Beach house at Hove on Tromøya. Guests will be equipped with protective clothing and be given a safety talk and tour description before entering the water. Once on the water, the guide will demonstrate paddle techniques and allow time for practice prior to beginning the trip. The kayak tour takes in the beautiful Raet national park and heads southwest to the islands of Gjessøya and Merdø. On route, the guide will explain the history of the islands and point out various points of interest. As we paddle in the sheltered waters of the archipelago we pass St Helena island and Badeholmen before entering the pretty sandy bay at Gjessholmen. trips can also paddle to the historic Merdø for lunch or a visit of the museum. The area is abundant in maritime life and offers unspoiled nature and clear waters.
