How it was back then and what is going on today

Explore Dortmund's “beery” soul and taste it at the same time: On this tour, you will follow in the footsteps of the important beer tradition that is now over 700 years old. From the period of industrialization through the 1950s and 60s, when Dortmund became Europe's beer capital, to the present, when a lot is being done to revive Dortmund's old glory. And you can see for yourself the good things during this tour.

Where are we going?
We start at the Dortmunder U-Turm, the site of the Dortmund Beer Festival since 2016. After a short stop in the foyer of the Unique Hotel, the former headquarters of Brau und Brunnen, we stop at the Hövels Hausbrauerei. Passing the Bierkutscher monument and through Brauhausstraße, we first come to the headquarters of the Stade Brauerei and finally to the “Wenkers” cellar at the Alter Markt.
