Gambaran keseluruhan

  • Overview and Origins
Developed by Tom Bowen in the 1950s, Bowen Therapy is a gentle, non-invasive bodywork technique. Practitioners use precise finger and thumb rolling movements over muscles, tendons, and fascia. These moves signal the nervous system to stimulate innate self-healing, restore balance, and release stored trauma.

    Key Benefits

Pain & Mobility: Relieves musculoskeletal pain and improves joint flexibility and range of motion.
Nervous System and Stress: Calms the nervous system, reduces stress, and aids mental health recovery (PTSD, ADHD).
Recovery and Flow Enhances blood flow and lymphatic drainage, speeding up injury recovery times.
Specialized Care: Supports scoliosis correction and fertility enhancement (Bowen Babie).

    Common Conditions Treated

Back, neck, joint pain, strains, and sports injuries
    Fibromyalgia, arthritis, and chronic fatigue
Asthma, sinusitis, IBS, and digestive distress

Jadual perjalanan aktiviti

A typical Bowen Therapy session lasts between 20 to 45 minutes. During the session, you will lie comfortably on a massage table fully clothed. Your therapist will perform a series of gentle, rolling movements on specific points of your body, leaving the room for 1-2 minutes between sets of moves to let your body respond. These pauses are a crucial aspect of the therapy, giving your body time to process the signals and initiate healing. Most clients find the experience deeply relaxing, often falling asleep during the session. After the session, it is common to feel a sense of calm and well-being (also called the "Bowen high", with some experiencing immediate relief from pain or discomfort.
