Join me for a full-day walk through Shenzhen — one of the youngest, fastest, and most surprising cities in the world. I'm a Shenzhen-based game designer who has spent the last few years exploring every corner of this city, and I want to show you the version I actually love: the green hills, the glass towers, the old villages, and the food that locals line up for after work.

This is a small-group experience (max 4 people) designed for English-speaking travelers who want more than a checklist. By the end of the day, you'll have seen Shenzhen's most iconic skyline, walked through a 1,700-year-old village, and eaten dishes you won't find in any guidebook.

Itinerary (10:00 – 19:00, 9 hours)

10:00 – 11:30 · Lianhua Mountain Park & City Center Viewpoint
We start at the top of Lianhua Mountain — the green lung in the middle of Futian. A 20-minute climb takes us to the peak, where you'll see the full CBD skyline, the Civic Center, and on a clear day all the way across the bay to Hong Kong. I'll explain how a fishing village became the world's 4th-largest skyscraper city in 30 years.

11:30 – 13:00 · Futian CBD Walk
We walk down through the financial district — past the 599m Ping An Finance Center (2nd tallest building in China), the Shenzhen Stock Exchange, and the Civic Center. Quick coffee stop at a local roastery.

13:00 – 14:30 · Authentic Cantonese Lunch
Lunch at a long-time local favorite — choose one of:

Hainan-style chicken in coconut broth (椰子鸡)
Cantonese roast goose (烧鹅) with rice
Fresh seafood in Shatoujiao style
Main dish + drink included.

14:30 – 16:00 · OCT-LOFT (华侨城创意文化园)
A former factory district turned into Shenzhen's most creative neighborhood — galleries, indie coffee shops, design studios, and a tiny vintage camera museum. I'll show you the spots that don't show up in guidebooks.

16:00 – 17:30 · Nantou Old Town (南头古城)
A 1,700-year-old walled village sitting in the middle of the tech city. We walk the original stone streets, see the old county gate, and stop at a family-run dessert shop that has been making ginger milk curd (姜撞奶) for three generations.

17:30 – 19:00 · Shekou Sea World Sunset
We end the day at Sea World — a waterfront promenade built around a permanently-docked cruise ship that now houses bars and restaurants. Watch the sunset over Shenzhen Bay with a craft beer or fresh sugar-cane juice.
