Trip Itinerary:

Pickup from hotels depending on the area. The pickup route includes the hotels in Crespo, Marbella, Cabrero, Bocagrande, Laguito or Castillo Grande, starting at 7:00 am. The time will vary depending on the hotel.

Next, we leave for Barú from the end point at approximately 8:30 AM. The journey may last 45 minutes to 1 hour, depending on the traffic, passing through the industrial area of Mamonal and then arriving at the bridge that connects Cartagena with the Island of Barú, where it crosses the arm of the Magdalena River, called the “Canal del Dique.”

Once in Barú, the island has 3 towns: Ararca, Santana, and the last district called Barú, where islander fishermen live who currently see tourism as their main source of income. In this case, we will only pass through Ararca and Santana. After a 5-minute journey, we'll find a trail-type detour that will lead us to our destination.

Next, we'll find rustic concrete stairs that will take us to the earthly paradise called “PLAYA BLANCA,” the flagship beach of Barú Island. It stretches 2.4 km and is divided into sectors. We'll see the main sector when we go down the stairs, which is considered popular due to its high number of visitors. To reach the Playa Tranquila sector, which has fewer people and is where our restaurant “MÁNDALA BEACH” is located, we have to walk 10 minutes along the beach path.

At the agency's restaurant, guests will enjoy the lunch of their choice, previously selected according to their plan. Lunch will be available from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. If you wish to use the restaurant's facilities, such as restrooms, urinals or changing rooms, you can do so completely free of charge. Please note that the tables and chairs in the restaurant are for the exclusive use of having lunch. Customers can rent chairs and tents in front of the restaurant or outside it, choosing their location and preference. The guide will tell you the time you need to be ready to return. If there are no changes, the return will be at 3:00 PM.
