House of the Free Press

At the House of the Free Press, travelers will admire one of Bucharest’s most imposing communist-era landmarks, a monumental building that once played a central role in the country’s propaganda and media system. At the Romanian Athenaeum, travelers will admire one of Bucharest’s most beautiful and iconic landmarks from the outside. Depending on the selected option, guests may also visit the interior, if access is available on that day according to the venue’s rehearsal and performance schedule. During the interior visit, travelers will discover the elegant halls, the impressive concert auditorium, and the famous mural paintings that depict 2,000 years of Romanian history. The Romanian Athenaeum is also home to the prestigious George Enescu International Festival, one of the most important classical music events in Romania. Revolution Square

At Revolution Square, travelers will stop in one of the most powerful and symbolic places in Bucharest, where some of the most important moments in Romania’s modern history took place.
