After introductions, we'll walk over the bridge and start the climb of "The Ben". The first section is a steep ascent to halfway lochan. It flattens out and we'll take a well earned break. Our next challenge is the zig-zags up to the plateau, where the worst of the ascent is over! A short walk brings us to the summit of Ben Nevis, the highest point in the UK at 1,345m (4,413ft). You've now earned the phenomenal views of the Lochaber landscape, and your Ben Nevis summit patch1 Depending on the weather, we may eat on the summit or head back down to a more sheltered spot. We'll then walk back down the mountain path to one of the pubs in the Glen to celebrate the summit (optional)!
