Your first stop is at Banteay Srey which is situated in the area of Angkor and is a Cambodian temple worshiping the Hindu god of Siva. Banteay Srey temple is said to be the most beautiful temple ruin within the Angkor Era. Considered by many to be the Mona Lisa of the East, Banteay Srey Temple is built from pink sandstones that make it very popular and it is also known as the Temple of Women.

In the afternoon, you will explore the Beng Mealea which is a Hindu temple built in Angkor times, a magnificent sight to preserve, situated approximately 70km northeast of Siem Reap as well as one of the most excellent temples at Angkor. Also known as the temple in the jungle, this temple ruin is famous for its trekking path and that is why safe and comfortable clothing must be worn for this trip.

If you find it difficult to get away from the crowd of the tourist masses and look for a place less trodden, that is the reason why the trip to Beng Mealea is worth trying.
