Day 1: History, Winemaking & Mountain Waterfalls (Shamkir - Gadabay)
Begin with an early departure from Baku to Shamkir. Visit the historic Shamkir fortress, then enjoy a lunch of local delicacies at the “Narin Qala” restaurant, accompanied by a beautiful view of the Kur River.
Next, travel to the Gadabay region via UAZ vehicles. Visit the Shir-Shir waterfalls and the Siemens (Qanli) bridges, followed by a visit to the ancient Hamishavang Albanian monastery.
Settle into a warm, authentic village house. Enjoy a cozy dinner accompanied by famous Gadabay potatoes cooked on a stove. Then, immerse yourself in a true cultural experience with a live Ashiq music performance (UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage).
Day 2: Ancient Monasteries & River Valley Hiking (Gadabay - Baku)
Start your day with a rich breakfast consisting of organic village products. Visit the ancient Mahrasa temple, followed by a highly scenic hiking tour along the breathtaking Shamkir River valley.
Unwind and enjoy nature with a relaxing, light picnic lunch on the tranquil shores of the Shamkir River. Enjoy a traditional Samovar tea service against the backdrop of a beautiful mountain panorama. Afterward, begin the scenic return journey, arriving back in Baku by the evening.
