The centre/seat of Sikhism, the revered Golden Temple is an iconic place of worship. The spiritual vibe of the place can only be experienced, not explained. The beautiful lake around which devotees sit and say their prayers, the sound of the hymns or discourses can transport you to another realm. If you're lucky, you can even see one of the largest community kitchens in India which serves food to all, free of cost, and which is run by devotees, volunteering their time and services.
