Meet your captain and board the Young Salty Dog, a twin-hull catamaran and ex-sea rescue vessel. Set off on a private cruise and explore Albany’s pristine beaches, turquoise waters, and beautiful bays.
Want Albany entirely on your terms? This is your tour. Charter the Young Salty Dog exclusively for your group and let Captain Mark design a customised cruise built around exactly what you want to see and do.
Whether you're after a harbour sunset cruise, a scenic run out to King George Sound, a look at the iconic Cheynes II shipwreck or a bit of everything — the route is yours to shape. With the whole boat to yourselves and a maximum of 12 passengers, this is as personal as a boat tour gets.
Perfect for:
Corporate functions and team events
Family reunions and celebrations
Christmas and end-of-year parties
Birthday groups and special occasions
What you might see:
Cruise through the Ataturk Channel, past Point King Lighthouse and Point Possession. Marvel at the turquoise waters of Mistaken Island and the ANZAC Centre on Mount Clarence from the water. Explore Albany's most beautiful beaches — Brambles, Goode and Middleton Beach — and get up close to the historic Cheynes II, a 440-tonne steam whale chaser that ran aground and is a favourite for photographers.
Between May and October, Humpback, Southern Right and occasionally rare Blue Whales can also be spotted in Albany's waters, along with dolphins and seals year-round.
