We will meet at the designated meeting point, where you will receive your admission wristband for Tsuuk Akumal Nature Park, one of the most famous areas for sea turtle sightings in the Riviera Maya. Before entering the water, we'll provide you with all the necessary gear: mask, new snorkel, and life jacket, ensuring a comfortable and safe experience. We review our service daily and have determined that these are the best times. (We have added an extra hour to our availability to avoid the crowds, so we recommend booking between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM.) It is also possible to see turtles at other times, although there is a higher likelihood of crowds due to the presence of other tour operators.
If this is your first time snorkeling, your guide will explain the basics before you start, making this activity ideal for both beginners and more experienced snorkelers.
Once in the water, you'll explore the peaceful bay of Akumal in search of green sea turtles in their natural habitat, as well as tropical fish, coral formations, stingrays, and other species found in the area. In this protected natural area, you must follow the guide at all times, comply with the rules explained, and keep a respectful distance from the animals. Your guide will try to take the best photos of your underwater experience with a GoPro, included in the price, so that you can take home unforgettable souvenirs. To receive your photo package, please provide your contact information upon arrival (WhatsApp number, your name, and the name of the assigned guide); it will be sent on the same day or the next day.
After snorkeling, you can stay at the beach and enjoy the sea and the facilities for the rest of the day: restrooms, showers, and lockers included.
Your guide will accompany you at all times, showing you the best viewing points and helping you to enjoy the activity safely and in a relaxed way.
The parking lot where you'll arrive is not managed by us. It costs 100 MXN for the whole day, is completely safe, and is the closest and most accessible, as there is no free parking available in Akumal.
Please arrive on time, 15 minutes before your reservation, as there are other reservations scheduled afterwards, and this helps us to respect the time of all participants.
